lyrics

Verse 1

A life lesson
So many suffering from depression
The weight of the world's a burden
That's got us all stressing
I feel I failed to make a difference
Like nobody's listening
Trust went out the door years ago
They always whispering
I'm losing grip on reality
I feel indifferent
We're numb to principality
Our lives spent so frivolous
In dark times they say to walk to the light
But has that flame turned to ash
Have I lost my will to fight
A lost soul seeing visions
Of apostles
My thoughts flow
Just lost hope in any gospels
Ancient hymns
Stale bread and soured wine
Bones turned to dust
Witness the hands of time
I can't find any truth to stay on focus
The past's behind
But I seen the future and its hopeless

Verse 2

The path of thorns will leave you scarred quick
I spill blood
Dripped from my heart into the tar pits
Slick words from men of faith
Carrying fate
Disguise the hate
And the sins under the smiles on they face
Rape and pillage the body
And the mind falls behind
Trapped in time
Looking to the sky for a sign
Now with no foundation
We see the roots malnourished
On sacred land
Where kings and queens once flourished
The water went dry
No rain from the sky
Tears from my eyes
Mama sighs
As she watches
Helpless from the sidelines
Mortality forsaken for the taste of forbidden fruit
Forgotten youth
Rather bask in lies then face the pain of truth
Battered and bruised
Tattered and cursed
Fathom the blues
Or walk a mile in my shoes
What hurts worse
I'm so far gone
I've given in to the solitude
So now you know you're not alone
I wrote this verse for you
